AVX has 9,900 employees and its main products include ceramic and tantalum capacitors, film capacitors, timing devices, ferrite devices and integrated passive components. Its business is spread all over the world. AVX was originally an American company and later a joint venture with Kyocera of Japan. It specializes in the design, development, production and sales of passive electronic components and interconnect products. Effective October 1, 2021, the company was renamed KYOCERA AVX Components Corporation and will use KYOCERA AVX as its commercial brand.
